Thomas Berg war lange Zeit fachkundiger Berater von Selbsthilfegruppen im Bereich der Hämochromatose in Österreich. Seit 1998 lebt er in Schottland und forscht dort still auf dem Gebiet der eisenbezogenen Stoffwechselerkrankungen.
