Tim Byers grew up in Westerville, Ohio, playing army in the woods behind his house and building tank and airplane models in the basement. He wrote his first novel in junior high and locked it inside the wooden treasure chest his grandpa made, where it still hides today. His first published novel is The Order of the Red Lion. When not writing, Tim enjoys work as a handyman, travel, and time with his best friend and wife Mary in Carmel, Indiana.
