Vanessa Alexandre has fourteen years of experience in the publishing industry as a children's and young adult author and illustrator for publishers in Brazil, the United States, and Europe, in addition to illustrating educational materials and developing content for advertising campaigns. She has participated in exhibitions such as Cow Parade and Football Parade, was one of the artists selected for the 3rd Edition of the Refugiarte exhibition, promoted by UNHCR (the UN refugee agency), and was selected for the New York edition of the Jaguar Parade. Additionally, she conducts literary workshops and illustration activities in schools throughout Brazil, implementing activities for students and teachers at events such as the São Paulo Education Journey, Porto Alegre Book Fair, Araras Book Fair, Book Biennial, and promoting inclusive education activities.
