Dr. Yongliang Wang is currently an associate professor in the Department of Engineering Mechanics, School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining, at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), and the head of the group of computational mechanics. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2014.
Dr. Yongliang Wang mainly engaged in the research of high-performance adaptive finite element method, computation and analysis of mine-rock mass damage and fracture, and structural vibration stability. He published four monographs in English, and more than 150 academic papers; furthermore, he obtained more than 50 software copyrights.
This book is an introduction to the basic theory of the finite element method. In addition, it formulates a scheme for finite element computation of elasticity problems and provides typical computer programs for implementing the finite element method. The basic concepts and key techniques...
