Yu Bin wurde 1973 in Qingdao geboren. Mit 6 Jahren begann er seine Kung Fu Ausbildung und studiert seit seinem 11. Lebensjahr Akupunktur.
Er gewann viele Turniere im Vollkontakt und war sechs Jahre Ausbilder für Nahkampf bei der chinesischen Marine.
Seit 1998 ist Yu Bin Mitarbeiter des Qingdao Stadtarchivs und unterrichtet in seiner Freizeit viele Schüler in seiner Heimatstadt.
