Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, was an iconic figure in the British and world's history, most known for his victory over Napoleon Buonaparte at Waterloo in 1815. With Marshal Ney and Prussian general Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Wellington defeated the French troops, bringing the Napoleonic era in Europe.
