I'm an Amazon best-selling author living in earthquake-hit Christchurch, New Zealand, where my contemporary novels are set. I'm a night owl and prefer writing late into the night whenever possible.
My books span a variety of genres. I've written contemporary crime noir fiction, contemporary YA (social issues), science fiction, middle grade interactive fiction, and co-written fantasy (now out of print).
My work has so far produced a Sir Julius Vogel Award (shared), the elusive Awesome Indies Seal of Approval (twice), and Amazon (CA) #1 Bestseller rankings in Noir mysteries and thrillers, and Hard-boiled mysteries.
Sally lives in an old church in the Wairarapa, New Zealand. She breeds Clydesdale horses, sheep, and milk goats. Sally enjoys sitting in local cafes, and hugging a cup of tea, while stringing words into a story. Somewhere Else is her first novel. Sunrise will follow it. Sally’s short stories have been published in New Zealand, England, America and Australia. Sally’s first book, Deputy Dan and the Mysterious Midnight Marauder, won a Sir Julius Vogel award in 2008.
Grant Stone's stories have appeared in Shimmer, Strange Horizons, Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, Semaphore, and Use Only As Directed and have twice won the Sir Julius Vogel Award. He's also one-third of the Cerberus Writing Band, along with Dan Rabarts and Matthew Sanborn Smith.
Award-winning author, Sean Monaghan has published more than one hundred stories in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and in New Zealand, where he makes his home. A regular contributor to Asimov’s, his story “Crimson Birds of Small Miracles”, set in the art world of Shilinka Switalla, won both the Sir Julius Vogel Award, and the Asimov’s Readers Poll Award, for best short story.
He is a past winner of the Jim Baen Memorial Award, and the Amazing Stories Award.
Sean writes from a nook in a corner of his 110 year old home, usually listening to eighties music.

Here, between the realms of the Sky Father and Earth Mother, hellhounds race, ghosts drift aimless, and the taniwha stalks. Home fires drive them back, at the same time sparking stories and poems that traverse seconds, eons, and parsecs. Tales of gatekeepers, cloak wearers, and secret keepers. Of pigs with AK-47s or ruby-hued eyes, of love-struck moa, and unruly reflections. Stark truths, and beautiful possibilities…
