D. M. Sears lives and writes in Virginia. He is a pilot who has written several books about flying under the name Michael Bleriot and now three books for younger readers. The Untimely Journey of Veronica T. Boone was born when his niece requested an adventure story for a 12-year-old girl, one that included trains, horses, and Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. She said it should also include the history of America, “but only the interesting parts.”

Action and adventure for Middle Grade readers and up!
A stolen train, the crime of the century, and thieves who travel through time...
In Part 1 of The Untimely Journey of Veronica T. Boone, 12-year-old Molly's small town of Laurentide was destroyed by time-traveling Pug-Nasties, led by the evil Ursula Bamcroft. Now in Part 2, THE JEREMY BENTHAM, Molly and Veronica are on the run, leaping through time themselves to stop the Pug-Nasties before they can strike again.
The evil Pug-Nasties are causing havoc. Molly and Veronica – and the crew of the Jeremy Bentham – must stop them. But that's easier said than done.
Tangling with barnstorming pilots, Presidents of the United States, bank robbers, street gangs, tornadoes, and Broadway singers, the girls just about have their hands full. And it's all about to get worse.
A modern children's classic.
An educational adventure trilogy in the spirit of A Wrinkle in Time, The Hobbit, and the Nancy Drew mysteries. The page-turning plot and real historical events make it a favorite with both boys and girls.
Don't miss the dozens of historical photographs at the end of the book!
