Robert Jones was born in Monroe County General Hospital in the second half of the last century. Raised by aunts who were among the last of the Victorians in a non-fictional Stroudsburg, and at least partially by ne'er-do-well parents in the equally non-fictional Bartonsville, he has spent his life following in the foot-steps of the protagonists of the picaresque genre. He is also nearly as ribald as the denizens of the fictional Bartonsville in this collection of stories. He is still wending his way through life somewhere in the northeastern United States and will continue to do so until The Great Being punches his ticket.
