Matt Reynolds has hung up his pastoral hat and begun a new career in retail management. He and Beth and their children have moved away from rural East Texas to the big city where they settle on a pleasant street in a quiet suburb and plan to make it their forever home. But the young family's American dream is about to become a nightmare.
As the days pass some very odd things begin to happen: unexplained noises at night, framed portraits flung from walls, decorative items smashed, personal items hidden, water taps turning on by themselves, and things flying through the air in plain sight.
