Inspired by Richard Bach, author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Illusions and The Bridge Across Forever, I discovered not only a passion to write, but also a channel, a means of helping to raise awareness in a world where people, trying to change things for the better, were being fought and silenced, where racism, greed and war were commonplace, and a society that was being dumbed down primarily through a system of "education", cultural propaganda and ideology - both political and religious.
I write high-concept thrillers and speculative fiction in geopolitical, crime, sometimes bordering on science fiction, and often times inspiring stories.
I love story-telling and especially, I enjoy weaving my stories with compelling and eye-opening perspectives about the world we live in and hopefully, inspiring my readers to see a better vision, a higher one and a world where the good guys win and actual peace and justice is possible.

What if an alien, human-like and barely indistinguishable for us, showed up at the steps of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory with a proposal? Is it a hoax, a fake, is he a charlatan? Certainly he cannot be what he claims - an alien who escaped his world, looking for refuge in ours and in exchange is willing to impart all the technology and knowledge from his home world - but there's a catch - first we have to eliminate all nuclear weapons and divest military powers of their use.
Sounds impossible! Sounds incredible - but what if it actually happened - would humanity jump at the prospects of getting advance technology that would allow us to jump the stars and interact with other cultures, or would the powers-that-be, and those invested in war and the military-industrial complex bring undue pressure to governing powers to simply lock the charlatan away while figuring out how to reverse-engineer his ship and squeeze him for all they could get? Which way would humanity go? When Gods Roar is a revealing and insightful sociological and geopolitical thriller.
"As I started this story, I had no inkling of what it would entail. This is a tale of an "alien" coming to earth, his first appearance, the stir it caused, the possibility of war with an alien culture far advanced beyond earth's paltry defenses. But it is far more than that. It is a deeply philosophical tale which delves into some of our most carefully guarded shibboleths. This story raises issue with the impact of religions on our planet, and its peoples. It raises issue with the concentration of wealth, power, and military power specifically, in the hands of a few sociopathic individuals. It raises issue with the secretive manner in which governments treat the issue of alien visitations. And it offers a realistic view of what the tenets of a new culture of peace and prosperity might entail. In all my 83 years I have never read any book, including the Christian and Judaic versions of the Bible, which offers so much depth in the guise of a novel. Does the philosophy, does the criticism, does the suggested manner of dealing with our current situation have flaws. I will leave that to you, the individual reader, to decide for yourself. Nothing is imposed by this story. Nothing is falsified, nothing is set forth in concrete. It offers much to anyone. It is most certainly due an award of five stars, and if there were a higher award it would merit that too. Well done Real Laplaine. I hope to see a sequel." - Berk Rourke, author
"An alien comes to Earth and reveals himself to Mia, a woman whose life mission is to prove that extraterrestrials are real. The story flips back and forth between present day and 20 years earlier when Té'Lal first comes to Earth. The book causes the reader to wonder:
Could there be life out there on other planets?
If so, will our planet ever be under attack?
Would it be possible for an alien to form a romantic bond with an Earthling?
I never read Sci-Fi, so the story was a little outside of my element, but overall, it was an enjoyable story and a quick read."
