Jimmy is the young son of a wealthy family who has the time and money to live as he chooses and who has a dubious past. It is said he once killed a man. Other rumors say he worked for gangsters in Chicago. Others say he did dangerous stunt work in Hollywood. Jimmy denies none of these rumors. He is a man of action, living in the moment. After the Grand Prix his life will change. He will meet and fall in love with Anni, the young Austrian girl who is running from the Nazis. As the world explodes into war, JImmy and Anni will travel many roads to stay together. Jimmy will fly over the skies of England in The Battle of Britain. He will fight beside the beautiful but dangerous Kikki Bouchet in the French Resistance. He will be tested many times before he walks his last road.
Sometimes funny, sometimes brutal, this is a tale of of war and the men and women who wage it.
