With all of humanity at stake in the wake of a Corsovian invasion, Representative Aliya Horowitz has to do all she can to gain military aid from Earth's only intergalactic ally, Bagar-1. But, the magnetic and arrogant High General Waylen proves to be an obstacle for her in many ways.
Realities of the Corsovian conflict touch Bagar-1 and Aliya is more determined than ever to get the military aid she needs from Waylen. After he surprises them both by kissing her, she tries to keep things professional. She is seeing his cousin after all and Knor is great, what they had couldn't have been better under the circumstances. Waylen competes for her affections though and Aliya might not be able to choose who she really wants. When back on Earth, amidst the Corsovian invasion, Aliya is faced with the choice of who she'd rather be with.
