Hungarian-Ottoman War Series
|
Magnificent castles and legendary heroes from the age of the Hungarian-Turkish wars, second edition.
Between the 15th and 17th centuries while Europe was being torn apart by religious and dynastic wars the mighty Ottoman Empire was preparing to conquer the Christian world.
When they entered they found themselves blocked by staunch Hungarian resistance. Although suffering greatly, Hungarians contributed more than their fair share to the steady development of European civilization during this age than is understood by the English speaking world.
The tales found in this book have been written as short fact-based fictional stories so as to entertain and to teach. They are based on historical records, and on the long told tales of local folks.
