Kelly Stone Gamble was born and raised in a small Midwestern town but, as an adult, became a city girl. As a member of the faculty at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, she now moves between her homes in Henderson, Nevada, and Idabel, Oklahoma, allowing her to enjoy the best of both worlds.
Kate Birdsall was born in the heart of the Rust Belt and harbors a hesitant affinity for its grit. She’s an existentialist who writes both short and long fiction, and she plays a variety of loud instruments. She lives in Michigan’s capital city with her partner and at least one too many four-legged creatures.
Michael Meyerhofer grew up in Iowa where he learned to cope with the unbridled excitement of the Midwest by reading books and not getting his hopes up. Probably due to his father’s influence, he developed a fondness for Star Trek, weight lifting, and collecting medieval weapons. He is also addicted to caffeine and the History Channel.
His fourth poetry book, What To Do If You’re Buried Alive, was recently published by Split Lip Press. He also serves as the Poetry Editor of Atticus Review. His poetry and prose have appeared in Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine, Brevity, Ploughshares, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Rattle, and many other journals. He and his fiancee currently live in Fresno, California, in a little house beside a very large cactus.
I grew up on a steady diet of adult epic fantasy from the age of nine, leaving me with a rather confused outlook on life – I believe the good guys should always win, but I know they often don’t. I am an oxymoron; an idealistic cynic.
I began my first attempts at the craft of writing in 1992. After writing far more failed epic stories than shorts, this culminated in the publication of my debut work, Confronting the Demon, in 2013. My first book published with Evolved Publishing is In the Company of the Dead.
I hold degrees in law and accounting, and I am a practising financial services lawyer. In my spare time, I speculate about taking over the world – how hard can it really be? If I could be anything, I’d choose a dragon, but if I am honest I share more in common with Dr. Gregory House of House M.D. – both the good and the bad. I am a browncoat, a saltgunner, a Whedonite, a Sherlockian, a Ringer and a Whovian… OK, most major geek fandoms. My alignment is chaotic good. I am an INTJ.
I live in Sydney, Australia, with my husband, my two daughters, and a growing menagerie of animals that unfortunately includes no dragons.
USA Today Bestselling author Gail Cleare used to write for newspapers, magazines, ad agencies, and Fortune 50 companies. She wrote a monthly column for AOL called "I Love Chocolate" and hosted a popular live chat about cocoa cookery and its fascinating history.
Now she writes fiction and lives on an 18th century farm in Massachusetts with her family and dogs, cats, chickens, black bears, beavers, blue herons, rushing streams, and wide, windy skies. When she's not writing, Gail is usually working in her organic vegetable garden or stalking wild creatures with a 300mm lens.
Victor Catano lives in New York City with his wonderful wife, Kim, and their adorable pughuaua, Danerys. When not writing, he works in live theater as a stage manager, light designer, and production manager.
His hobbies include coffee, Broadway musicals, and complaining about the NY Mets and Philadelphia Eagles.
Reece has always been an avid listener to people's stories and has loved telling some of her own. When she became a teenager, her grandmother gave her a romance novel (very G rated) and this began her love of reading. She has dabbled with writing for years and has never committed to just doing it. Finally, she made up her mind and decided to try due to the fact there were so many stories in her mind that wanted out. She lives at the beach with her husband and dog in Alabama.
Diane Byington has been a tenured college professor, yoga teacher, psychotherapist, and executive coach. Also, she raised goats for fiber and once took a job cooking hot dogs for a NASCAR event. She still enjoys spinning and weaving, but she hasn’t eaten a hot dog or watched a car race since.
Besides reading and writing, Diane loves to hike, kayak, and photograph sunsets. She and her husband divide their time between Boulder, Colorado, and the small Central Florida town they discovered while doing research for her novel.
Kelley taught high school English and drama for twenty years in Colorado and California, but a 1994 diagnosis of multiple sclerosis has (circuitously and finally) brought her to the life of being a writer and mother, both occupations she adores and dreamed about way back when she was making up stories revolving around her Barbie and Ken dolls.
Kelley has two wonderful and funny sons and an amazing husband who cooks for her. She lives in Southern California.
After walking away from her career as a business banker to pursue writing full-time, Erica moved from the hustle and bustle of the big city to a small tourist town in the North Georgia Mountains where she lives in a 90-year-old haunted farmhouse with her workaholic husband, her 180lb lap dog, and at least one ghost.
When she's not busy writing or tending to her collection of crazy chickens, diabolical ducks, and a quintet of piglets, hell bent on having her for dinner, she's either reading bad fan fiction or singing karaoke in the local pub. Much like the main character in her first book, To Katie With Love, Erica is a magnet for disaster, and has been known to trip on air while walking across flat surfaces.
How she's managed to survive this long is one of life's great mysteries.
Debbie TenBrink grew up on a farm in West Michigan, where her family has lived for over 150 years. She still lives within five miles of her childhood home with her husband, four children, and dog, Mojo (who is the only real-life character in her book). She has a Master’s degree in career and technical education, and she taught computer classes in two local colleges before beginning her current career as a software specialist for a law firm.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys camping, hiking, sports, and any other activity she can use as an excuse to spend time in the great outdoors. Other hobbies include reading (of course), having long conversations with the characters living in her head, and an almost frightening interest in true crime TV shows.
Her passion for writing began in childhood with short stories and poetry, and she can’t remember a time when she didn’t know that she would someday write a novel.
