At 13-years-old, Peter White sent in a mail order for Sea Monkeys. Upon receipt, he discovered that the actual product was not the happy, smiling characters that were depicted in the comic book ad.
As an adult, Peter founded the company White Innovation, the leading company in spy and surveillance products. White Innovation also has one of the top-ranked customer service call centers in the nation. The company is also planning to go public.
Peter finally decided to correct his childhood experience and create a new version of the Sea Monkeys.
However, all product development plans are delayed after the award-winning call center director is caught in a sexual exploitation scandal and an anonymous customer starts harassing and threatening call center agents and the company.
Peter now must hire a consultant to interview and shadow six management candidates to fill the director's job. He must also track down and discover the identity of the mystery caller who wants to damage the company's public image.
This is a story about the unimaginable, divergent subculture, eclectic individuals, and the assortment of virtues that exist in the world of the Customer Service Call Center.
