A Book of Words, by the author of Confessions of the Last Lowly Warrior, is a book of contemporary poetry of various styles and subjects written over the course of a more than twenty-five year period stretching from college until the present. Stillverse, Becoming a Cliche, fly, Why Newt Gingrich Must Dye, The Cunning Linguist, Goth Girl, Do Batman, The Mortician’s Children among many others are poems rooted in the personal experiences of the author and are a reflection of the hurt and humor that make life painful but bearable. From poetry designed to woo the ladies, probe existential angst, and indulge in bouts of whimsey, this collection has something for everyone.
