Kelly Matsuura grew up in Victoria, Australia, but always dreamed she would live abroad. She has lived in northern China, Michigan in the US, and over ten years in Nagoya, Japan, where she now lives permanently.
Kelly has published numerous short stories online; in group anthologies; and in several self-published anthologies. Her stories have been published by Visibility Fiction, Crushing Hearts & Black Butterfly Publishing, A Murder of Storytellers, and Ink and Locket Press.
She majored in Asian Studies at university, and (sometimes) studies Japanese, Chinese and German. Her other hobbies include cooking, knitting, sewing, and traveling.
As the creator and editor for The Insignia Series, Kelly uses her knowledge of Asian cultures to help other indie authors produce great diverse stories and to share the group's work with a new audience.
Chris White weaves stories of positive supernatural drama, often centered around ethereal beings and angels on earth. His writing style is characterized by uplifting themes that explore the mystical aspects of life. Chris combines his disciplined writing habits, developed during his time as a U.S. Army soldier, with a vivid imagination to create stories that inspire and enchant.
His international experiences, particularly his years living in Eastern Europe, have enriched his narratives with a sense of wonder and a broadened worldview. As a dedicated father of five, including a child with Down Syndrome, Chris's stories are infused with warmth, empathy, and a deep understanding of human connections.
Balancing long writing sessions with pursuits like flying, family, friends, cooking, gardening and drawing, Chris crafts stories that provide a sense of hope and positivity. His supernatural tales are not just escapism but are reflections on the beauty and mystery of life, encouraging readers to look beyond the ordinary.
Chris White's work is a celebration of the unseen and unexplained, offering readers a chance to experience the magic and benevolence of the supernatural world.
