Kyle is a father to his daughter, who he proudly calls his "greatest teacher". he himself is a longtime educator, with a PhD in educational leadership and an extensive professional career in student affairs and higher education. he is currently a stay-at-home dad and an influential thought-leader.
Kyle has been sharing his ideas about masculinity, social justice, and education for over a decade in publications like The Good Men Project, Understanding and Dismantling Privilege, and The Journal of Critical Scholarship on Higher Education and Student Affairs.
He has authored several book chapters and presents his work at national conferences around the country. he and his wife, Aeriel, co-authored the book, VITAL: A Torch For Your Social Justice Journey, which was awarded the Jamie Showkeir Changing the Conversation Award by Berrett-Koehler Publishing.
Since becoming a father, Kyle has discovered the life-changing wisdom that comes from raising a daughter. he draws on his background in masculinity studies, mindfulness, and social justice education to continue his own personal growth and create learning opportunities for others through coaching, facilitation, and speaking.
In addition to being a dad and husband, Joe Saucedo is an advocate for social justice and equity in education. He currently works with a Chicago-based nonprofit, Partnership for College Completion where our mission is to champion practices and policies that minimize graduation gaps for Black, Latinx, and low-income students enrolled at Illinois colleges and universities.

His wide-ranging work has appeared in national magazines on topics from men, depression, and suicide, fatherhood, and professional bicycle racing.
