Grace Lee
Grace Lee has been interested in poetry and other forms of art, since she was a child, but her writing did not take off until she started writing her memoirs in her early sixties. Although this project took a long time to finish, it gave her a continued interest in the art of storytelling.
Grace has written several short stories, which were published in various magazines, and she won a prize for her bush poem ‘Possum’s Lament.’ in a competition. This poem is published in the Cairns Tropical Writers book, ‘Category Five.’
She is a mother of five children, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and reckons there is much in her life still to do.
Most of Grace Lee’s books are published on Amazon, which includes both adult and children’s books.
The stories in this book were originally written in a book called 500 Words, but as the photos in it made the book expensive I changed the title.
This book is a collection of stories I wrote for the now cancelled ABC web page. We had to write 500 words about different things that happened to us each week.
So here is the collection, I hope you enjoy it.
