Vampires are stupid. Goblins are stupid. Being dead is stupid.
You'd think that saving Triport City from utter destruction by a necromantic magic explosion of epic proportions would set you up for sainthood, or at least a lifetime Gold level insurance policy!
Instead, Samiel is found slightly more than half dead by a high-level vampire she may have conned in front of all his friends, and so she gets none of that. Instead, she gets tossed in his nearly inescapable dungeon lair, strung up by her feet, and tortured for his pleasure.

Though the hidden danger underneath the city has been defeated, Samiel's friends aren't out of the woods… Plague still haunts Triport, the city is swiftly running out of cures, and time is running out for Samiel's friend Isha, on trial for treason.
Samiel won't let even death stop her in her quest save her friends—and her adopted city—once more.
This is the second book in the Sam's Song series, set in the world of Cerulea. You can read on its own, but for maximum enjoyment, it's recommended you start with book one: A Fist Full of Sand.
