Jim Garlits is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) working as a disaster response instructor/facilitator, having finished a 20-year military career as in medical plans and operations and was an Army Master Resilience Trainer in the Indiana Army National Guard. He and his wife Tawnya have four adult children and live near the Appalachian mountains in Virginia.
