As she reads deeper, she starts to become afraid as Carl reveals a mind always working a few steps ahead, and an understanding of the universe that no one ever grasped.
Now Lissa is terrified.
In his life, Carl never met a challenge he did not overcome and master eventually. Now he's alone in the galaxy, looking for a powerful race of aliens that don't want to be found. If anyone could find them, it's Carl, and Lissa knows that it will only be a matter of time before he does so.
