Inside you will learn how to attach a stair stringer to joist, beams and ledgers. You'll even learn how to create hanging ledgers out of plywood. You will also learn how to make the necessary modifications when dealing with different treads and risers thicknesses. This is a common problem and usually occurs when a stairway connects to a floor or landing that uses different sized floor sheathing.
