A recent vet college graduate, Doctor Hannah Woodbridge's five-year plan is to buy Colby County Veterinary Clinic from its elderly owner. When he suffers a stroke, Hannah is forced to take over the clinic and the fill-in as town veterinarian immediately. Lacking sufficient finances, she needs to retain the paid contract as town veterinarian in order to purchase the clinic.
Town of Colby Animal Control Officer, Andrew Kelly, makes no secret of his desire for his veterinarian friend, Dr. Bryan Plat, to win the bid to be town veterinarian. He doesn't trust the new vet in town, and there's more than one reason he's rooting for Bryan. When she questions his motives, he resists.

The Colby County Series starts with the release of book one: Bid to Love, on January 31, 2022! This series centers on the new veterinarians at the Colby County Veterinary Clinic, in the fictious eastern Connecticut town of Colby, in the county with the same name.
