Ken MacLeod est né en 1954 dans les îles Hébrides, à l'ouest de l'Écosse. Diplômé de l'Université de Glasgow en zoologie, il a écrit une thèse sur la biomécanique et travaillé comme programmeur. Auteur de neuf romans publiés en anglais, il se situe au coeur même de la mouvance du Nouveau Space Opera, comme son ami de longue date, Iain M. Banks. Il combine avec verve les concepts scientifiques les plus en pointe avec une conscience politique et historique très développée, le tout pimenté par un sens de l'humour particulièrement fin... Ses romans et nouvelles ont remporté deux prix Prometheus (pour la SF d'inspiration libertaire), un British Science Fiction Award et un Prix Sidewise (décerné aux uchronies).
Born in the north of England in 1984, Redfern Jon Barrett is a polyamorous pagan giant with a Ph.D. in queer literature. His fiction has been published in the magazines A Cappella Zoo, The Future Fire, and Corvus; the anthologies Bestiary and Drag Noir; as well as the book Shaped by Time. His non-fiction has featured in German newspapers Bild and BZ, as well as Scifi Methods (2012-13), Sleek, Gender Forum, Polytical, Überlin, and Witches/Sorcières. Read more at redjon.com
