Der zehnte Band der Reihe "Märkens up Platt" mit dem Titel "De Graaf sin Dochter" enthält ausschließlich Geschichten, die den "English Fairy Tales" (1890) und "More English Fairy Tales" (1894) des gebürtigen Australiers Joseph Jacobs (1854-1916) entlehnt sind. Ihm haben die bekanntesten englischen Märchen ihre Popularität zu verdanken.
Im Einzelnen enthält der Band folgende Märchen im Plattdeutsch der an Flensburg grenzenden Geest: De Graaf sin Dochter (Earl Mar's Daughter); Meister Etig (Mr. Vinegar); Hans un de Bohnenstengel (Jack and the Beanstalk); De Geschicht vun de dree lütte Swiens (The Story of the Three Little Pigs); De Meister un sin Lehrling (The Master and His Pupil); Hans un sin gollne Snuuftobacksdoos (Jack and His Golden Snuff-Box); De dree Baren (The Story of the Three Bears); Hannes Riesendood (Jack the Giant-Killer); Mieke Wuppdig (Molly Whuppie); De fule Hans (Lazy Jack); De Gruliche Worm up'e Braambarg (The Laidly Worm of Spindleston Heugh); De Fisch un de Ring (The Fish and the Ring); De Esel, de Disch un de Knüppel (The Ass, the Table, and the Stick); De Köppe in'e Soot (The Three Heads in the Well); De swatte Bull (The Black Bull of Norroway); Dree Feddern (Three Feathers); Jan Hockendrift (Tom Hickathrift); Gobber Wicker (Gobborn Seer); De Antog vun Klei (Coat o' Clay); De König un sin dree Soehns (The King of England and His Three Sons); Dat lütte Bullkalv (The Little Bull-Calf). Diese Geschichten sind nicht nur sprachlich übertragen. Alle Details, die im Original auf England hinwiesen, sind für Schleswig-Holstein adaptiert, wie z. B. an die Stelle von Wales als Nachbarland Jütland getreten ist. Ebenso wurden die englischen Personennamen durch (möglichst ähnliche) niederdeutsche ersetzt.
