Für Abby und ihren Mann Robert Williams, den ehemaligen Banditen Butch Cassidy, könnte das Leben im Norden von Los Angeles nicht besser laufen. Sie fanden auf ihrer Ranch mit der lebhaften Tochter Betty eine neue Heimat, in der sie niemand aufspüren wird, denn man hält sie für tot.
