The demons of Mor'arch once brought the Empyrean Realms to their knees, and they will do so again, if given the chance.
Namara has been able to scrape out a living for herself and her younger sister in the dark streets of Bedrock by working as a sketcher for an eccentric scholar and the local garrison. When she isn't working, she is desperately searching for a way to cure her sister of her lifelong sickness before it's too late.
Just as she's starting to lose hope, a stranger barges into her life and Namara is nudged onto a path of forgotten history, old magic, and dangerous enemies. Something is brewing deep beneath the city, and to save her sister's life, she might have to commit to the path ahead. A path that will take her to the very depth of the ancient city.
To be a fledgling demon is no easy thing.
The Creature was nothing, at first. It was death itself that freed it from the confines of non-existence. It was death that molded it into something new, something that had not been seen for millennia, only to plop it down into a strange place filled with life and stone, voices and songs and strange rules. It does not know where it came from, nor does it know where it is going. The Creature only knows that it hungers, and most of all, it hungers for a friend.
