The end of the first half of the 21st century brought unexpected and terrifying changes for everyone. It started with Krzysiek, an enthusiast searching for artifacts using a metal detector, finding the base of an alien civilization hidden deep underground. Several thousand years earlier, it was founded by one of the last soldiers of Cosc, conquered by another, hostile life form. In the basement of Bastion, he learns about the Zqoterns, cybernetic organisms that reduce every race they encounter during their expansion in the universe to Stone Age levels. A series of unforeseen events lead to a clash with someone else. Someone perhaps even more dangerous than Zqoterny, because he is trying to eliminate people and take over the planet. The fight for survival against the invader begins when a fragile truce has just been concluded with the Islamic world after the defeat of their Grand Fleet by Poland and its allies England, the United States and France.
