Toman un café al lado del objetivo perseguido. Hacen guardia desde un coche o en cualquier calle donde viva o pase habitualmente su investigado. Delante de un hotel, organismo ofcial o un viaje inesperado de una ciudad a otra, a veces sin previo aviso o sorpresa de su familia. Estas personas, a veces invisibles, son los detectives privados.
