Dorian Gray, un joven hermoso como un atleta griego, se dedica a apurar el cáliz de todos los placeres, mientras su retrato es el que envejece y recibe en su imagen las huellas de la depravación.
Oscar Wilde is one of the most important figures in British literature. The Picture of Dorian Gray (1891), is one of his best known plays. It belongs to what was called the decadent or symbolist movement of the second half of XIX century, it claimed to have a pure and absolute style range, a primacy of the artistic over the objective. Dorian Gray, a handsome young man who resembles a Greek athlete, devotes his time to the pleasures of life, while his picture grows old and shows the signals of his depravation.
