Esta obra es un ensayo sobre la jerga del fútbol, de
los noticiarios y de la publicidad. Por ello, es subjetiva,
no pretende ser exhaustiva, no introduce demasiadas
citas, no está escrita para profesionales y
juega con frecuentes digresiones. Sin perder de vista
la denuncia de las incorrecciones gramaticales, su
redacción no constituye una lista interminable de
normas sobre la morfología, sintaxis, fonética y
fonología. Frente a las publicaciones especializadas,
que ya abordan académicamente dichas cuestiones,
este es un texto dinámico que llega a ser un divertimento,
en el que el hilo conductor es una hipotética
retransmisión de un partido de fútbol de la selección
española. A lo largo del libro, los diferentes errores
gramaticales, oídos todos ellos en alguna ocasión,
van dando lugar a comentarios más o menos jocosos
y a consideraciones diversas.
