Iran is a vast country located in the Middle East. It has different climates which make the country rich in terms of biodiversity. Nematological research inside the country has a high importance. This book meets all records on free living bacterivorous nematodes occuring in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in Iran; these belong to the order Rhabditida. A total of 88 species belonging to 39 genera and 15 families are included. Description, measurements and illustrations are provided for all of them.
Irán es un extenso país situado en Oriente Medio y Asia Occidental cuya diversidad climática hace que sea rico en biodiversidad. La investigación nematológica dentro del país ha adquirido una gran importancia. El presente volumen recoge todos los registros relativos a los nematodos bacterívoros vivos que se encuentran en ecosistemas terrestres y acuáticos en Irán y que pertenecen a la orden de los rabdítidos. Se incluyen un total de 88 especies pertenecientes a 39 géneros y 15 familias, y se proporciona descripción, medidas e ilustraciones de todas ellas.
