Theodore D. C. Cox is confused. Born in the USA, he spent much of his life in Germany, and now resides in Belfast. Married to the girl of his dreams, he's father to a bunch of amazing grown ups. Story telling, the bible and cinema are his passions. In addition to What You Meant for Evil, he has a number of other projects in the works, including a short series sitcom retelling the story of Nehemiah, set in a town in Northern Ireland.
The visions were a problem. Samira was a sensible, educated woman. She had a business to run -- or she would if only her older brother could accept the reality. She didn't have time for the prophecies of a mysterious stranger. Especially not when he kept prophesying her elevation in spite of her life coming to pieces.
A forced marriage and a civil war were enough stress to make anyone see things. Or, could the visions be real?
"[Mahmoud's] heartbreaking story is gripping, like a train wreck I can't stop reading about."
-- Jesse Simmons
"What You Meant for Evil is a riveting story. It is especially powerful as it illustrates so many of the struggles that Syrians have gone through over the last 10 years."
-- Jeffrey Hayes, author of Back to the Books! How much do the Bible and the Qur'an actually agree?
