The Balfour Hotel
|
When a beautiful guest arrives at the hotel, she has clearly arrived under a cloud of pretense, but what motive does she have for deception?
To Samuel, the maitre d' of the Balfour Hotel, it is obvious that the newly arrived guest, Miss Lorna Hastings, is not who she claims. Samuel finds himself in a precarious position—torn between his loyalty to his employers, the Balfours, and the comely young woman who awakens every protective instinct he possesses.
Why he feels the need to chivalrously come to the aid of Miss Hastings, he's uncertain. Perhaps he feels a kinship towards her because he, too has dark secrets he prefers to keep hidden.
Or, perhaps his motives have more to do with matters of the heart.
In this last installment of The Balfour Hotel, deep-seated and carefully guarded secrets are exposed in a shocking conclusion to the series.
