Michael Burke is a lifelong fan of fantasy, horror, and science fiction, propelled into these realms at a tender age when he discovered his father's cache of pulp novels. These flights of fancy lurked in the recesses of his brain while he decided what he wanted to be when he grew up. In 2000, Michael co-founded the award-winning comic book and collectible shop, Comicazi, in Somerville, MA.
When not found among the comic stacks at the shop, he has worked on releasing the hobgoblins of his mind by writing and submitting short stories in the above genres. Michael has been published in print and online in Whetstone:Amateur Magazine of Pulp Sword and Sorcery, The Horror Zine, Northern Frights, Witch House, and the 80s-themed anthology, Totally Tubular Terrors. His weird western novella recently debuted as part of Crystal Lake’s Dark Tide series.
Visual artist and lifelong horror fan, Daniella Batsheva, is a self-declared "illustrator with a design habit." Her aesthetic straddles the line between underground and mainstream. Her art boasts the beautiful detail-heavy, intricate linework of the Victorian era mixed with the dark gothic imagery inspired by horror films. Softly stylized figures with deep color palettes. Whimsy with a creepy twist.
Among her many works, Daniella has created art for Death’s Head Press, Universal Music Group, and numerous musical acts worldwide. She was named the first-ever female Lead Illustrator at Kerrang! - the UK alternative culture brand that has been around for 40+ years and reaches more than 45 million people a month. Her art for Kerrang! embraces a wide range of timely issues including mental health, sex, drugs and female empowerment.
