Grant Landry leads an aimless and unfulfilling life until he gets an invitation to a family reunion and hears a woman's voice telling him to look through his family heirlooms. When Grant finds a picture of his great aunt Mary Kate whom he knows nothing about, he decides to attend the family reunion to find out more about her.
Seventy-Five years earlier, Mary Kate Landry struggles with societal norms, family expectations, and finding her own purpose in life. Grant begins to have random encounters with Mary Kate that fuel his curiosity about what happened to her. Their interactions become more frequent and he becomes concerned that he could disastrously alter the course of future events for himself and many others.
