My book Delusional is about :
An aircraft flying between New Zealand and Australia carrying Ten passengers and Two crew transmits a distress call, then shortly afterwards disappears.
On the Australian island state of Tasmania the wife of one of the passengers, cannot accept her husband is dead, and keeps insisting the search should continue.
Three years after the aircraft disappears, an emergency call centre operator answers a three second call from a man screaming into the phone for help…..
The wife Wendy Barker a book shop employee insists it was her husband who made the call, after seeing the entry on the phone bill. However there is no other evidence that the call was ever made.
A chance meeting with a school boy and his wild idea for an end of school project, convinces Wendy her husband is alive, and it sends her into a spin.
Is she clinging to an unrealistic hope?
Are the experts and search and rescue authorities wrong?
Is the government hiding a secret?
Is the school boy correct?
Or just setting her up for his school mates as the delusional lady in the book shop…
