This anthology was written at the witness of the events that occurred during the period of transition into the 21st Century where a lot of turning experiences and lifestyle drift occurred, making everything to shift to take another form. The anthology contains the events which are appreciated by the Heart and those appreciated by the Mind, hence the title "Echoes of the Heart and Storms of the Mind". The anthology carries, those events which gives echoes from our hearts by form of beating which may lead to joy or sadness. On the other hand, it encompasses the aspects that storms in the human mind as they try to figure out how happiness or sadness can be propagated. It is all about how the Heart and Mind receives things/aspects/events and sees the world, in relation to a person's ability. The anthology was written during an era where economic shakes, love, deaths, marriages and change of generation was occurring rapidly. Thus, it is a societal manifest of the lives people lived during the transition into the 21st century at the juxtapose of that which was being lived, prior to the dynamic transition. The anthology is set in a way that it can be used for academic purposes in English Literature, given that there are comparative poems therein and the ideas therein can be appreciated using comparative language. Not only does it have comparative poems but single standings ones, both of which are crucial for learning and imparting knowledge. It was written following the rules of Literature, hence having all relevant devices which can be used to learn and teach appreciation of English Literature.
