Having a moron for a boss is more than anyone should have to take, and when Geneva Lane can't deal for another second, she shares her opinion with the man and is fired on the spot. Unfortunately, no moron for a boss also means no paycheck, but after she shares her situation with her parents, her sudden lack of employment turns out to be a blessing in disguise because her parents need her help consulting on a construction job they've been putting off for years. Oliver Doucette has partnered a construction business for eight years, and he's never once had a "Consultant" breathing down his neck. He finds out the first day at the job site Geneva Lane barely knows a hammer from a wrench, but he also knows he's stuck with her because her parents are his bosses and he needs to somehow figure out how to get along with her for the next nine months.
What doesn't figure into Oliver's carefully laid plans are his growing feelings for Geneva. Feelings he has to suppress because falling for the daughter of the boss is a big mistake.
