Alma Ann Jay is one of my alter egos because when I started writing, I was working for a school district where I felt I could not reveal my identity. I have been a teacher, assistant principal, central office administrator, academic coordinator, as well as a mother and grandmother in three states. I prefer living on a farm with all sorts of farm animals, especially horses. I write about people and places that I know. All my books caution readers who knew me throughout my career against assuming I'm writing about them. Some of my stories have humor; some are serious. I enjoy writing, reading, spinning alpaca fleece, knitting, writing and quilting. Baby quilts and longarm quilting are favorite hobbies.
