A beautiful witch named Claire and a handsome wolf named Lestat wake up drugged, stripped naked, and cuffed together in a freezing, desolate Wasteland. They don't have clothes, or money. They don't have weapons, or food. They don't even know that they are two thousand miles from home. What Claire does know is that every wolf is scum. And Lestat knows that no witch can be trusted. Yet now, they have nothing but each other to rely on—and that won't be enough unless they learn to work together.
Though they don't know it yet, the witch and the wolf are part of a deadly race—a competition to determine the next Rulers of the Land of Moss.
