Rosalind Minett writes novels and short stories. She relishes quirkiness, and loves creating complex characters of all ages instead of assessing them as she had to in her previous working life as a psychologist. Her understanding of how people think, learn, feel and behave drives her plots whether the genre is humour, historical or crime.
She lives in the South West of England and loves scenic walks, theatre, sculpting and painting.

Better Never Lie
|
Terry's mundane life is about to take a dramatic turn.
That morning, after his predictable, monotonous routine, he kisses his wife, Gudrun, goodbye and heads to work. On the tube, he's transfixed at the sight of his doppelganger. Tracking him, he discovers he has a twin, Gerry, separated from him in infancy, both of them adopted into different families.
While Terry is thrilled at the chance meeting, upmarket Gerry is less so. Terry, excited to tell his wife, finds Gudrun doesn't want to hear his news, so angrily he keeps the news of Gerry from her. He becomes secretive as he spends time with Gerry and his irresistable girlfriend.
Determined to find out more about his origins, Terry sets off on a search against the fact that Gerry prefers to leave further stones unturned. Terry persists but the Pandora's Box, once opened, tangles him into increasingly bizarre situations. Terry creates more chaos by committing one shameful act that threatens to destroy everything he values. And while he's been preoccupied what has Gudrun been up to?
