R.G. Eagleton is a fiction writer who enjoys bringing the old west to life in his writings.
He resided in Arizona for over 60 years, but has since relocated to the state of Tennessee with his wife and their two dogs. Robert retired in 2009 after working more than 40 years in the computer industry.
Buck Langley, was a tall brawny twenty-eight years old, always ready and willing to help out anyone in need. His wanderlust for life in the west takes him from his sedate farm life in Missouri and sets him on a journey to Nevada territory. He encounters a family living on a small farm who are in dire need of help. For reasons unknown, they had repeatedly come under attack by several men presumably from a nearby Nevada town called Stanton?
Buck makes their acquaintance under rather dreadful circumstances. It quickly becomes his focus to find out why a God-fearing family like the Nilsson's were being called sodbusters and were constantly being harassed by these men.
Buck knew he had to help them with their situation. His priorities had suddenly changed after coming to their aid during one of the attacks and risking his own life in doing so. He becomes personally involved in their lives in more ways than one. Somehow, he has to find out why they are being singled out and wrongly victimized. Could it be because they were immigrants of Swedish ancestry or because they were farmers trying to exist in what was considered cattle country, or could it be something else?
