My name is Leslie Anne Brennemann, and thanks to my aunt, I got expelled from school for trying to uncover the truth about my family. My friends in school thought I was a crack baby, while others suspected I may have been kidnapped as an infant, because people just don't look like me in Hyannis Nebraska.
It's just one of those things, when you find out you're adopted, and you learn that none of your aunts and uncles are even related to each other. Just like all orphans when they find out their whole family is fake. I grew more and more curious and started documenting things like a real reporter. When I found out who my real mom was, I was traumatized. None of it made any sense.
Kyle and Carter, my best friends from birth, had taught me how to be a man. My mom Loretta Lynn, and Father Charlie, tried to teach me how to be a good Catholic, and all the old cowgirls taught me how to curse. I got a job at fourteen working in a restaurant, where I worked for food, but things did not come together until my mom died. My biological mother suddenly appeared, and finally wanted to tell me about my mom Loretta Lynn; how she was a true hero, and saved hundreds of people on board a space ship called the Elissa. Then the Secret Service agents showed up.
This is the story of what turned me into the curious waitress.
