Rikki J Prince is a telecommunications engineer turned English teacher, translator, board game designer and author.
Surfing on the Edge of Reality is his first science fiction work, and is based on one little known fact:
Einstein’s theory of relativity DOES allow for faster-than light travel, if you use the engineer’s term for velocity rather than the theoretical physicist’s terminology.
The author can be contacted at holeadventures@gmail.com where he is pleased to discuss corrections to the book, take orders for his board game: Rescue from the Black Hole, and make appointments for online interviews and English tutorials.

Nine Days
|
Part One:
In the bustling and enigmatic city of Istanbul, a diverse group of brilliant young physicists gathers for an intensive nine-day seminar on quantum gravity. Among the ancient mosques, winding bazaars, and the shimmering waters of the Bosphorus, these students—each driven by an insatiable curiosity and their own personal demons—delve deep into the mysteries of the universe, where the laws of physics intertwine with the fabric of reality itself.
As they explore groundbreaking theories that challenge their understanding of time, space, and matter, the group's dynamics begin to mirror the chaotic and unpredictable nature of quantum mechanics. Romantic entanglements, rivalries, and hidden fears bubble to the surface, creating a complex web of relationships that threatens to unravel as quickly as the quantum particles they study.
In a city where East meets West and past meets present, the students find themselves at the crossroads of scientific discovery and personal transformation. "Nine Days Immersed in Quantum Gravity (in Istanbul)" is a gripping tale of intellectual pursuit and emotional turbulence, where the quest to understand the universe is matched only by the struggle to understand themselves—and each other.
Part Two:
Amidst the stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage of Prague, a group of young physicists reunites for a nine-day seminar on quantum gravity—an advanced continuation of their intellectual journey that began in Istanbul. In this city of spires and shadows, where history and modernity coexist in a delicate balance, the group delves deeper into the mysteries of the universe, confronting the most challenging questions in theoretical physics.
But the intricate equations and complex theories are not the only challenges they face. The group's relationships, already strained from their time in Istanbul, reach new levels of tension and intensity. Old wounds are reopened, new alliances are forged, and the boundaries between friendship, love, and rivalry blur in unexpected and dangerous ways.
As they navigate the labyrinthine streets of Prague and the even more intricate pathways of quantum mechanics, the students are forced to confront not only the nature of reality but also the darker aspects of their own human nature. "Nine Days Immersed in Quantum Gravity (in Prague)" is a tale of discovery and deception, where the pursuit of knowledge is intertwined with the pursuit of personal truth—and where the stakes are higher than ever before.
