Natalie Hart was a divorced mother of four. The four kids have grown and left the small town of Bear Lake, the ex-husband has not. Having her ex, and the woman he cheated on her with, living in the same town was just one of several issues that plaque Nat's thoughts every morning when she goes out on a run. There's the family Inn that she tries to manage, and a family curse that she tries to forget. Nat began her typical day with a typical run, expecting to find what she always found, a brisk mountain breeze, squirrels in the trees, and the stillness of the calm lake.
