The year is 1972 when retired U.S army major Billy White is hunted by a notorious Mexican bounty hunter known as La Sombra -the shadow - and thrown into Condor Zelebes, a clandestine prison deep within the Mexican jungle.
After military life, Billy relocates to the beaches of Mexico, where he marries a local senora Trina Marone and they open a beach resort. But underneath Billy and his U.S colonel friend Jim Patterson are running a money laundering and drug running cartel to fund political campaigns back in the USA. But things change. To protect his wife and his young son, Billy turns his back on the cartel. Years later Billy's son is fully grown and moves to San Diego for a better education. He meets Colonel Patterson's daughter, Sara and eventually fall in love and marry. But this proves fatal. On honeymoon in Mexico visiting his mother, Blythe is kidnapped as revenge for Billy's betrayal. The two events begin to coalesce. Sara now an FBI analyst - sets out on a quest to find her missing husband and bring him home, but in the process discovers they have been deceived by their fathers all their life.
