The Rift Beyond Dreams is the beginning of the story of Neirin Finchwhale, a dreamer, a survivor. He will be thirty soon, and he is suffering in his dead-end job more than anything else. His youthful aspirations had stayed in the past as he got stuck. His dream gate won't open, and nobody can tell him why, or how to open it, as for the theories of why it won't open- there are way too many of them, he is not the only Dreamer with this problem. It stretches as far as the Dreaming itself. His talent is useless when he can't express himself and rise to the heights he always aspired to. Obsessed by the advancing, he gave up everything, but it wasn't enough. Constantly questioning whether it was all worth it, he still refuses to give up. Hope is the only thing that remains.
It is also the story of Monira Mirrormoon. She has a dream. An ambition, and she is prepared to do whatever it takes to take it to the peak and change the world more in her image. She had waited for a long time already, enduring in silence, preparing, but not anymore. Unafraid of anything, she calculates her every move, complimenting it with chaos and mayhem that gets her heart pumping. And when an opportunity arises, she doesn't hesitate to take it. And he is an opportunity too unique, enthralling and intriguing to pass upon, brought by the luck itself. Even if the heavens themself should fall as a result- it is the dreamers who shape this world- and dreams must be dreamt.
